Comic Mural and Scavenger Hunt Preview Event

On Saturday, April 27th, come join us for the Fans of the Museum Preview of two new exhibits!

We are excited to invite you to be the first to experience two new exhibits at the Brooklyn Seltzer Museum.

The first is a 24-foot-wide comic mural addressing the cultural history of seltzer. Produced with the Museum staff in collaboration with graduate students at Teachers College Columbia University, and created by artists from around the world, it is a fun self-guided tour (starring our very own mascots Spritz the Siphon and Lil Spritz) of the role seltzer has played promoting health, tasty treats, comedy, and personal identity.

The second is less an exhibit that a new version of our museum-wide scavenger hunt. It has been improved, digitized for mobile phones, and now offers prizes.

There will be two one-hour sessions on the 27th, one from 4-5 and one from 5-6.

At each one, join us to:

  • Preview the comic mural
  • Tackle the enhanced treasure hunt
  • Meet the designers
  • Drink egg creams and 2 cents plain
  • Enjoy the existing Museum exhibits
  • Watch seltzer-themed videos
  • Spritz a loved one with seltzer (with their consent, of course)
  • Walk the factory floor (Note: There will NO GUIDED TOURS during this event)
  • Take seltzer selfies with the Museum mascots
