We were delighted to see the Brooklyn Seltzer Museum’s spring exhibit launch recognized in the FIRST LOOK section of MUSEUM, the industry periodical published by the American Alliance of Museums. It’s just a brief mention but, coming from AAM, it means a lot to us, as it introduces our space to museums all around the country.
Spanning 24 feet, “The Cultural Fizz-Story of Seltzer” mural, accompanied by artifacts, narrates a rich 2,500-year history of seltzer. This project not only highlights the cultural significance of seltzer but also showcases innovative ways to blend history, art, digital engagement, and education, reflecting the museum’s mission to engage and inspire the community. It can be explored on one’s own or through a paper or digital treasure hunt designed with interns from Teachers College, Columbia University.
