Hundreds, perhaps thousands, of bagel fans swarmed into CitiField (home of the New York Mets) for the 2024 BagelFest.
When you eat a bagel you also need something to drink it with. The Brooklyn Seltzer Museum was invited to support the event with the freshest, sharpest seltzer from Brooklyn and an all-day supply of egg creams.
It was an amazing scene, our booth surrounded by thousands of people – many flying in from around the country and even the world – to taste the most incredible collection of innovative bagels and spreads.
We served almost 150 attendees a delicious egg cream (many for their first time). That comes out to one egg cream every 2.5 minutes, for six hours!
It was exciting to run into so many old friends and meet new ones as well. We appreciate having been invited and enjoyed our first taste of what it is like to take the Museum out of Cypress Hills and into the wider world.
